There is no openly redistributable, daily-updated delay dataset for Istanbul Airport (LTFM) — research archives exist, but they run four months a year, two years behind, under terms that forbid sharing the rows. This project builds the other kind, collecting and joining the day's flights from OpenSky and aviationstack every night. Phase 2 trains a delay prediction model on it.
Data collection
The historical months are schedule-sourced (aviationstack) with no ADS-B at all. Only the live daily collection cross-checks against ADS-B (OpenSky), and the free tier reaches about half of a given day's flights — so the confirmed count above covers a small share of the dataset, though it grows every day.
